Drop-in club to learn how to crochet or practice your skills with volunteer Lily and other children and teens.
Crochet Club is back at Parkway Central Library on Monday, October 26. It's one of those low-pressure library gatherings that works as both a class and a hangout, and it's open to children and teens. If you've never picked up a hook, this is a good place to start: you can learn how to crochet from scratch, and if you've already got the basics down, you can just bring your current project and work on it while you're there.
Lily, a library volunteer, leads the session. She's there to walk you through the stitches if you're new, and to help you troubleshoot if you've hit a wall with a pattern. The room is filled with other children and teens doing the same thing, so it's as much about the company as it is about the craft. You'll find people at all different levels—some just starting their first chain, others deep into a larger project—working side by side.

It's a good way to spend a Monday afternoon if you've been wanting to try crochet but didn't want to tackle it alone at home. You can come in and learn the ropes, or just bring whatever you're working on and make some progress in a room full of people doing the same thing. The session is at Parkway Central Library on Monday, October 26.
