CityPickle sets up two outdoor pickleball courts in Dilworth Park for public play and community experiences.
CityPickle has set up two outdoor pickleball courts at Dilworth Park, right in the shadow of City Hall, and they're open daily through October 18. It's a pop-up that turns the park into an open-air tryout for one of the country's fastest-growing recreational sports, and this Philadelphia outpost was the company's first in the city. The two branded courts sit at 1 S 15th St, so it's easy to find if you're already hanging around Center City.
Behind the setup are co-founders Mary Cannon and Erica Desai, lifelong friends who've traveled the country bringing the sport to the masses. The venue leans into that energy as a hub for brand activations, product launches, sampling, and community experiences, with Joola, Mt. Sinai, Nespresso, and Zespri listed as official partners. If you've never played, it's a low-stakes way to get a feel for it without needing your own gearβyou can bring your own racket or just rent one right on the court.
