Inaugural season of cinéKIDZ, a playful movie experience for children ages 3-10 with film, art, live music, and activities, facilitated by YES! Your Empowered Sexuality.
cinéKIDZ brings Turning Red to the Kingsessing Library on Saturday, October 17, from 12 PM to 3 PM. It's part of the inaugural season of cinéKIDZ, a cinéSPEAK program that invites children ages 3 to 10 and their caregivers to discover stories that inspire curiosity, kindness and wonder, turning the library into a playful movie experience with films, hands-on art activities, live music and conversations.
This month's session is guest-curated and facilitated by YES! Your Empowered Sexuality, an organization that provides intersectional, consent-based, shame-free sexuality education to all people. The afternoon starts with a complimentary lunch from Renata's Kitchen, and the screening is rounded off with cookies.
The program itself runs from 12:15 PM to 2:10 PM. It opens with a story time led by YES! at 12:15 PM, followed by the screening of Turning Red from 12:30 PM to 2:10 PM. After the film, there are post-screening activities hosted by Darnel's Cakes. Each gathering in the cinéKIDZ season is presented with the lead support of the William Penn Foundation.
