Biweekly board game club for children and teens aged 10 to 18 at the Field Teen Center of the Free Library of Philadelphia.
The Board Game Club meets at the Field Teen Center on Thursday, October 29, starting at 3:30 PM. It's a collaboration between the Field Teen Center and the Central Children's Department of the Free Library of Philadelphia, and it runs every other Thursday, so if you miss this one, there's another session coming up a couple of weeks later.
The club is open to children and teens aged 10 to 18. That's a wide enough range that you can bring a younger sibling or a friend from a different grade and both will fit right in. Everyone gathers in the Flex Meeting Room to play a variety of board games, and the selection covers a lot of ground. You'll find the classicsāSettlers of Catan is one of the staplesāalongside more recent hits like Everdell. Whether you're into the heavy strategy of the older favorites or the newer titles that have taken off in recent years, there's usually something on the table that works for you.

Finding the room takes a little bit of navigating. The Field Teen Center is inside the Parkway Central Library at 1901 Vine Street, between 19th and 20th Streets on the Parkway. The Flex Meeting Room itself sits right between the Field Teen Center and the Central Children's Department, so it's a good spot to drop in after school. The session starts at 3:30 PM on Thursday, October 29.
