Free beginner English class for adults and seniors focused on English for Daily Life, with no registration required.
Beginner English is running at Holmesburg Library on Mondays and Thursdays from 12 PM to 1:30 PM, part of a series that started September 14 and goes through December 10. If you're just starting out with English, it's a steady way to get some practice in without having to commit to a formal course.
The sessions are built around English for Daily Life, so the focus is on the kind of language you actually use throughout the day. You'll work on listening, speaking, reading, and writing, all aimed at helping you feel more confident when you're out in the city. It's designed for adults and seniors, and because it's a series rather than a one-off, you can drop in and build on what you've learned over the weeks.
There's no registration required to attend, so you can just show up. If you want to let them know you're interested, there's a sign-up list available. The program is made possible through the support of Comcast NBCUniversal.
