A three-piece country rock band from Long Island brings a fun, kinetic show to The Lounge at World Cafe Live.
Audawind play The Lounge at World Cafe Live on Saturday, October 17, at 8 PM. They're a three-piece country rock band from Long Island, and this is an intimate one — they're playing The Lounge, the venue's smaller room, rather than the main stage.
There's a family thing at the center of the band: it's a sibling trio made up of identical twin brothers Ben and Sam Dufton, both 20, and their sister Shelby, 22. They're from Cutchogue on the North Fork of Long Island, and they've been playing together for about ten years. That means they were gigging long before any of them were of legal drinking age, working wineries, festivals, beach concerts, and bars across the Hamptons. Along the way they've stood on the stage of the Stephen Talkhouse, a room known for hosting Paul McCartney, Jimmy Fallon, and Jimmy Buffett.
Their sound pulls from a few different places at once — classic country, pop, rock, and hip-hop all mixed into a new vein of country music. They're fresh on the Nashville scene, so this is a good chance to catch them while they're still playing rooms this size. The Lounge is known for its acoustics and for putting you close to the stage, so you'll be right there for the whole thing.
