Family-friendly Halloween festival with costumes, free art stations, a music play zone and a parade to Eastern State Penitentiary.
Philly Art Center is hosting its Annual Halloween Festival on Sunday, October 25, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. It's a family-friendly afternoon, so it works whether you're bringing kids or just hanging out with friends. Costumes are encouraged, and the whole thing is built around a few different activities you can move between at your own pace.
There are free art stations set up, where you can make something yourself rather than just looking at what's on the walls. Alongside that is a music play zone for kids to mess around with sound. The day wraps up with a parade that heads over to Eastern State Penitentiary, which is a pretty fitting destination for a Halloween outing in this city.
