A 50th anniversary charity carnival featuring player meet-and-greets, locker room tours, games, a flea market and a Ferris wheel.
Flyers Charities is bringing the carnival back to Xfinity Mobile Arena on Sunday, February 28, 2027, starting at 11 AM. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the event, which is one of the longest-running one-day charity days in professional sports. The whole thing is built around fans playing alongside the Philadelphia Flyers roster: tailgate-style games with the players, locker room tours, and a shot on goal from the arena floor. There's also a Fill-A-Bag Flea Market selling memorabilia, apparel and collectibles, and a Ferris wheel and carousel set up right on the floor. All the proceeds go to Flyers Charities.
It didn't start out this way. The carnival began as the Flyers Wives Fight For Lives Carnival and grew from there. Over five decades, Flyers Charities says it has raised nearly $37 million for communities across the region, supporting families affected by cancer and funding programs that remove financial barriers to the game, revive hockey play spaces and grow the sport. Blair Listino, President of the Flyers Charities Board, has called it one of the most enduring and impactful traditions in professional sports.
