A family-friendly fall festival featuring live music by School of Rock, a hayride, trunk-or-treating, and a flea market.
FDR Park hosts the 4th Annual Friends of FDR Park Fall Fest on Saturday, October 17, from 2 PM to 5 PM. It's a free, family-friendly afternoon that brings autumn activities back to the Lakes of FDR Park, and costumes are highly encouraged for all ages.
The main program runs throughout the afternoon. A live band from School of Rock plays from 2 PM to 5 PM, and a hay ride cruises the Lake Loop from 2 PM to 4:30 PM, picking up and dropping off near the Gateway Pavilion and the Splash Pad. There's also a trunk-or-treat lot for the kids to work their way through.
If you want to make a full day of it, there's more happening around the park. A Fall Fest flea market runs from 12 PM to 5 PM in the Welcome Center parking lot, with handmade and vintage items from local vendors. Boating on the Lakes and archery are available in the morning, so you can get out on the water or hit a few targets before the main festival kicks off.
