A day of entertainment with costume contests and carnival games in the Tacony neighborhood, with streets closed to traffic.
Tacony Together is bringing the 2026 Tacony Fall Festival to the Tacony Library on Saturday, October 24, from 12 PM to 6 PM. It's a neighborhood street party that takes over a stretch of Torresdale Avenue in Northeast Philly, with the 6800 and 6900 blocks closed to traffic for the day.
With the street shut down, the festival turns the neighborhood into a pedestrian zone for the afternoon. The main draw is a full afternoon of entertainment, with costume contests and carnival games running throughout the day. It's the kind of event that works best if you show up with a group and hang out for a few hours rather than popping in for a quick visit.
Tacony Together is the group behind it, and they're the ones coordinating the street closures and the programming. The festival centers around the Tacony Library, located at 6742 Torresdale Avenue, 19135, which serves as the anchor for the day's activities. Between the costume contests and the carnival games, there's plenty to keep you busy from start to finish.
