An annual fundraiser and family-friendly after-hours evening at The Franklin Institute with play zones, activities, food, and an open bar.
The Franklin Institute is hosting FunFest: A Night at the Museum on Friday, November 13, from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM. It's the museum's annual fundraiser and "friend-raiser," an after-hours evening when the building turns into a playground for families. The whole thing is built around connecting with parents of young children, fostering long-term engagement and inspiring future champions of science education.
The night is split between the kids and the adults. There are play zones designed exclusively for FunFest, so the little ones have their own space to run with. Meanwhile, the grown-ups can unwind with a cocktail at an open bar. It's a rare museum outing where you don't have to spend the entire time hovering over a toddler to make sure they aren't touching things they shouldn'tβthe kids have their zones, and you have yours.
There's a clear purpose behind the party. Proceeds support the Institute's education programs and provide discounted or free tickets for the more than 160,000 students and teachers who visit each year. The event is led by a FunFest Committee, co-chaired by Sam and Suzette Hamilton and Sarah and Chester Hall, alongside a Grandparents Committee.
