Weekly drop-in night of Latin dance lessons and social dancing for adults of all levels at Lace Bar.
Wednesdays Latin Lessons & Dancing are back at Lace Bar on Wednesday 28 October, from 18:00 to 23:15. It's a weekly drop-in, so you don't need to commit to a full course—you can just turn up when you fancy it.
The night is built around two things: Latin dance lessons and a social dancing session. The lessons are open to adults of all ability levels, from absolute beginners who've never stepped foot on a dance floor to experienced dancers looking to keep their feet moving. You don't need a partner to join in, and you don't need to be part of a long-term class; it's a drop-in setup, so you can come along on your own and leave with new friends. The social dancing that follows is free, and the organisers encourage everyone to support the venue by buying drinks at the bar.
It's run as part of the 'Dancing for fun and friendship' Nottingham meetup, and the whole thing is pitched as a relaxed, inclusive social rather than a formal class. The focus is on fun and connection rather than pressure or perfection, and it's framed as a friendly, welcoming community for shift workers and visitors alike. Beginners, improvers and experienced dancers are all welcome in the same room, and there's no partner or course commitment required.

Lace Bar is on Higher Pavement in the city centre, a lively bar with a dance floor and air conditioning. The night is for adults only, 18+. The lessons are £8.50 on a pay-as-you-go basis—cash at the door, card in person, or online booking—and the social dancing is free. It runs from 18:00 to 23:15, so there's plenty of time to get your steps in and hang out afterwards.
