Women-only evening cycling ride of 5.5 miles along cycle lanes and quiet back streets, suitable for all abilities, run by Women in Tandem.
Women in Tandem are leading a group ride around Nottingham's hot spots on Wednesday 28 October, starting from the Robin Hood Statue on Castle Road. It's a women-only, gently rolling 5.5-mile route that sticks to cycle lanes and quiet back streets, so it's suitable for all abilities. Experienced ride leaders set the pace of the slowest rider and stop for breaks whenever the group wants, sharing cycling tips and tricks before and during the ride.
Women in Tandem is a Nottingham-based Community Interest Company that supports and empowers women to get on bikes. This ride is part of their 'Group Rides' collection, and the session is funded by The National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund. Beyond the group rides, they run a free bike-maintenance class led by women and a workshop drop-in where you can fix your own bike, ask about maintenance and tools, and browse the shop's bikes, parts and clothing.
