Competitive themed bar crawl for science fans, with participants encouraged to dress in their science's colour or theme.
The Wacky Science Bar Crawl kicks off at Nottingham Bierkeller on Tuesday 20 October, and it's exactly what the name suggests: a bar crawl with a science theme, built for anyone with a scientific streak. The organisers frame it as scientists taking to the streets to 'do battle until only one science remains as the best science in Nottingham', so you'll want to pick your side before you set off.
That's where the dress code comes in. You're encouraged to turn up in your science's colour or theme, and the wackier the better. If you're not sure where to start, the organisers point to a long list of names to draw inspiration from: Darwin, Einstein, Tesla, Fleming, Pavlov, Pythagoras, Curie, Babbage, Watson and Crick. Whether you go for a full costume or just a nod to your favourite field, the whole point is to lean into the absurdity of it.

It's a competitive crawl, so you'll be moving through the city with other science-themed groups rather than just sticking to one spot. The starting point is Nottingham Bierkeller, at 13 Friar Ln, NG1 6DA, and it gets going from 19:00. Entry is £7.00.
