Halloween all-nighter edition of Tuned, Nottingham's student night at Rock City, with a Day of the Dead theme, a silent disco and a 2-4-1 drinks offer.
Tuned takes over Rock City on Thursday 29 October for a Halloween Day of the Dead special. It's the Nottingham student night that runs every Thursday, and this one is an all-nighter that carries on into Friday 30 October, so you've got the whole night and the early hours to work with.
Rock City is a big one for this, and it's set up across three rooms. The Main Hall holds around 2,000 people, and the Black Cherry Lounge is the home of hip-hop, rap and grime. Then there's the Beta Room, which is Nottingham's loudest silent disco. For this edition, the whole place is themed around Day of the Dead — a celebration of colour and dazzling skulls that runs right through to the early hours, with the silent disco still going in the Beta Room.
It's a high-production setup, too. Rock City was named Best Live Music Venue at the Nottingham Bar and Club Awards, and it's kitted out with lasers, smoke machines, CO2, LED screens, a £1,000,000 lighting rig and confetti cannons. That's the same gear they use for the big gigs, and it's all in play for the night.
