Free drop-in crafting workshop run by Pink Menace to make trans-positive flags and stickers, with materials provided.
Pink Menace are hosting a trans flag crafting workshop at The Carousel on Wednesday 28 October, from 7pm to 9pm. It's a two-hour drop-in session, so you can turn up whenever suits you rather than committing to the full stretch.
The night is about making trans-positive flags and stickers, and the timing is the point. It's a response to the Reclaim The Night march scheduled to pass through Nottingham on Saturday 7 November, which is being led by TERFs and connected to a group called Let Women Speak. The flags and stickers you make are meant to be a counter-presence to that.
Materials are provided on the night, so you don't need to bring anything with you to get started. That said, if you've got your own bits and bobs you'd rather use, you're more than welcome to bring them along. The organisers describe the session as being for curious learners, students and skill-builders looking for hands-on, interactive knowledge, and they frame Nottingham as a trans-inclusive city.
