In-person dating night with all-night cocktails at Nōshi, the modern Chinese and Japanese-inspired restaurant and cocktail bar in Trinity Square.
Thursday is taking over Nōshi Restaurants on Thursday 22 October, from 19:00 and running late. It's a singles night in the heart of Nottingham, and the whole point is to meet people face to face rather than through an app. The cocktails flow all night, and there are Thursday hosts on hand to help you mingle, so you don't have to do all the heavy lifting yourself. It's aimed at the 25-35 age group, with a smart casual dress code.
Nōshi is a restaurant and cocktail bar on Trinity Square, serving modern Chinese and Japanese-inspired cuisine. The name comes from Nō, meaning skill and artistry, and Shi, the Japanese word for four—a number the venue links to balance and harmony, and to the four elements of Japanese beauty: Sabi (simplicity), Wabi (imperfection), Shibui (refinement) and Yugen (grace). The space includes an outdoor terrace and The Koi Bar, where they do expertly crafted cocktails, and the room also hosts live entertainment and seasonal specials.
It's a good spot for a night like this, with the cocktail bar at the centre of things. If you're in that 25-35 bracket and fancy a night of meeting people in person, this is one of the ways to do it. The evening kicks off at 19:00 and goes late into the night, so there's plenty of time to settle in.
