Live show by The Vintage Explosion, a UK band of vintage rock and soul from the 1960s and 1970s, at Newark Town Hall.
The Vintage Explosion play Newark Town Hall on Saturday 14 November, with the music starting at 19:00. It's a night of vintage rock from the 1960s and 1970s, and the band is the only act on the bill.
They're a UK band that works within that specific era of rock, and they've built a fair bit of a name around it. Sir Rod Stewart once called the frontman 'the best white soul singer I've ever heard', which gives you a good sense of the voice they're bringing to the stage. On the charts, they've landed three No.1 albums on the iTunes Worldwide Blues Chart and reached the top ten on the US Billboard Blues Charts, so they've found an audience well beyond the UK.
Their television work started in March, when they played as the house band at the BBC Big Birthday Bash, and that was followed by a national TV debut on ITV's This Morning. If you've come across them through those appearances, this is a chance to hear them live in a proper room rather than through a screen.
