Free group cycle ride linking three local bike-friendly bridges along mostly off-road cycle and tow paths, aimed at reasonably confident riders.
The Cycle Bridges Ride sets off from the Canalside Heritage Centre on Sunday 1 November, a group cycle that links three local bike-friendly bridges across mostly off-road routes. It's a scenic spin that sticks to cycle paths and towpaths for the vast majority of the way, taking you over the Millennium bridge and the all-new Erewash bridge on the Cloud Trail and Route 6.
There's one small exception to the off-road run: a short stretch of unvetted canal towpath at the Shardlow - Cloud Trail junction. Other than that, you're on dedicated paths, and the organisers aim the ride at reasonably confident riders. If you're planning to join, they encourage you to sign up for the 'Nottingham Velo Venturers' Facebook group at least a week before the ride, so you're in the loop with any updates before you set off.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Nottingham and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

It's a free ride, though you'll need to book your place via Eventbrite. The start is at 11:00 from the Canalside Heritage Centre, Canal Side, Beeston, NG9 1LZ, Nottingham.
