In-store Christmas table setting masterclass with John Lewis Home Design Stylists, exclusive to My John Lewis members.
John Lewis Nottingham is running a Christmas table setting masterclass on Saturday 5 December, starting at 14:00. It's run by their Home Design Stylists and sits inside their festive collection, so it's a good chance to get a bit of a head start on the Christmas run-up rather than scrambling in the final week.
The session is built around live demonstrations. You'll watch the stylists work through the basics of a show-stopping table: how to choose the right table linen and tableware, how to work with a colour palette that actually holds together, and those smaller finishing touches that make the difference between a table that just looks okay and one that feels properly thought through. It's a practical look at the whole thing from the tablecloth up, rather than just a few tips on where to put the napkins.
There are a few things to keep in mind before you book. The masterclass is exclusive to My John Lewis members, though you can book extra tickets for guests if you're bringing someone along. On the day, you'll need your ticket — printed or on your phone — and your My John Lewis card or app. They ask that you arrive at least ten minutes before it kicks off, so you're settled in before they start. If your plans change, you can get a refund up to seven days before the event.

Tickets are £10, which you can redeem against any home purchases you make on the day, so if you end up picking up some of the linens or tableware you've just seen in action, the session effectively pays for itself.
