Over-18s night of jazz, blues and soul from local artists at The Pelican Club on St Mary's Place.
Ruby Tuesday's Music Night returns to The Pelican Club on Tuesday 10 November, with this particular evening titled Celebrate the Voice. It's a night of live music from local artists, and the bill draws on jazz, blues and soul, with the organisers describing it as a night of smooth tunes and rhythmic bliss.
That's a fair bit of ground to cover in one set. Jazz, blues and soul are distinct enough that you'll likely hear a few different moods across the night, and because it's local talent on the bill, it's a good way to catch a few Nottingham musicians in one go. The Celebrate the Voice title puts the focus where it belongs: on the singing. If you're into those genres, that's exactly what you're coming for.
The Pelican Club is on St Mary's Place, right in the city centre, so it's easy to get to. The night is open to everyone, though it is strictly over-18s, so keep that in mind if you're bringing a younger crowd. Tickets are sold in limited numbers, with a maximum of ten per customer, which means it won't be a massive room.
