Over-18s New Year's Eve takeover at Rock City with several rooms of music and a midnight countdown to 2027.
Rock City is taking over the whole venue for The New Years Eve Countdown 2026 on Thursday 31 December, and it's billed as Nottingham's biggest New Year's Eve party. It's back bigger, louder and wilder than before, with the entire building transformed into a multi-room celebration. That means several rooms of music running at once, so you can move between them throughout the night rather than sticking to one spot.
The energy builds across those rooms towards a full-scale party atmosphere, all leading up to a massive midnight countdown as the crowd counts down to 2027. If you've been to their New Year's Eve nights before, you'll know the drill: the whole place becomes one big celebration, and the countdown is the peak of it. It's a long one, too, running from 9:00pm on New Year's Eve right through to 4:00am on Friday 1 January, so you've got plenty of time to work your way around the different rooms before the clock strikes twelve.

One thing to keep in mind is that it's strictly over-18s, so make sure you've got your ID on you. If you're planning to go, it's worth grabbing tickets in advance, because once those sell out, pay on the door is available. The venue is Rock City, 8 Talbot St, Nottingham NG1 5GG, and the night runs from 9:00pm on Thursday 31 December until 4:00am on Friday 1 January.
