Queer-friendly life drawing session run by artist Leticia Silva dos Santos at the bar Neon, with bottomless prosecco and all art materials provided.
Queer Life Drawing comes to Neon on Tuesday 20 October, a queer-friendly life drawing session run by artist Leticia Silva dos Santos. It's held at Neon, a delightfully quirky Nottingham bar at 18 Fletcher Gate, and it's pitched as an upbeat, welcoming space to sketch and celebrate queer bodies.
The night is open to seasoned artists and newcomers alike, so you don't need to have a portfolio full of work to feel at home. All the art materials are provided, which takes the stress out of turning up with nothing. The session runs in two halves with a break in between, and bottomless prosecco is served throughout. If you're the kind of person who likes to keep what they've drawn, you're encouraged to bring along a sketchbook, as well as any comfort aids that make sitting and sketching easier for you.

It's a straightforward setup: a queer-friendly space, a live model, and a room full of people drawing. The focus is on celebrating queer bodies, and the atmosphere is meant to be as welcoming as the prosecco is bottomless. Whether you've been drawing for years or this is your first time picking up a pencil in a public setting, the door is open. The session starts at 7:00 PM, and tickets are £32.00.
