Eleventh edition of the Phoenix 40K Autumn Grand Tournament, a two-day 64-player Warhammer 40,000 tournament with five rounds and a 2000-point limit.
Phoenix 40K Autumn GT returns to Rushcliffe Arena on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November, the 11th edition of the tournament. It's a 64-player Warhammer 40,000 event judged by UKTC, run over two days with five rounds of Swiss pairing and a 2000-point limit. If you've played it before, you'll know the drill: you bring your army, and the Swiss system keeps you matched against players with similar records throughout the weekend.
Saturday is the heavy lifting. Doors open at 08:30, with Game 1 running 09:00 to 12:00, followed by lunch from 12:00 to 13:00. Game 2 goes from 13:00 to 16:00, and Game 3 takes you from 16:30 through to 19:30. Sunday is a shorter day: Game 4 runs 09:00 to 12:00, and Game 5 from 12:45 to 15:45, with the awards following at 16:00. A sandwich buffet is included on the Saturday, so you've got lunch sorted for the first three games.
Prizes go to first, second and third place, but there are a few more on the table: Best Sportsman, Best Painted army, and a Wooden Spoon for whoever finishes at the bottom. Your army list needs to be submitted by midday on the Wednesday before the event through Best Coast Pairings, so don't leave your list-building until the last minute.
