Paul Smith: HAPPY

Paul Smith brings his HAPPY tour to Motorpoint Arena Nottingham on Friday 21 May 2027, with the show starting at 18:00. It's billed as the biggest and boldest show of his career, and he's taking it on the road after sold-out runs and viral success across the globe.

If you've seen him before, you'll know the crowd work is a huge part of the act. HAPPY doubles down on that, with a good deal of the night built around the audience. He's known for picking people out and working with them in the moment, so there's a fair chance you'll be part of the show rather than just watching it from your seat. Between the interactions, he weaves in razor-sharp observations and true stories that he describes as laugh-out-loud, and the whole thing is paced to keep moving.

He describes the show as fast, fearless and relentlessly funny, packed with outrageous audience interaction and stories pulled straight from real life. The 'real life' bit is the core of it — the stories aren't polished sketches, but things that actually happened, told with the same directness he brings to the crowd work. It's that mix of the planned and the improvised that gives the set its energy, and HAPPY is the biggest version of that yet.

So, if you're up for a night of stand-up where the audience plays as much of a part as the comic, this is the one. Paul Smith at Motorpoint Arena Nottingham, Friday 21 May 2027, starting at 18:00.
