Alternative punk night with Lydons, supported by Cherry Stone and Smear, with profits split between the bands.
Lydons are playing The Mist Rolling Inn on Wednesday 21 October, from 19:00 to 23:00. They're a Black Country alternative punk band who've been gigging across the UK since 2023, and they're due a debut EP. The set they'll be playing is all-original and mostly unreleased, so it's a first look at what they've been working on.
They're not coming alone, either. Cherry Stone and Smear are both on the bill, so the night will be a full run of three bands rather than just a single set. The whole thing is put on by Fear and Loathing in the West, an independent post-punk and alt rock label, as the second instalment of their Party No. series.
Lydons describe themselves as a high-octane, heartfelt live act, and that's the energy they're bringing to the night. Since they've been playing the UK circuit for a few years now, they've had plenty of time to road-test this material before it ever hits a record. With the set being almost entirely unreleased, you'll be hearing songs that haven't made their way onto a studio recording yet.

Tickets start at £1 and go up to £15, and there's a reason for that low starting point: the organisers say they don't want to put people off the dancefloor. Once the costs of the night are covered, all the profits are split between the bands. The Mist Rolling Inn is at 78 Derby Road, Nottingham, NG15FD, and the music runs from 19:00 until 23:00.
