Over-18s night of reggae and sound system culture with David Rodigan and his full sound system at Unit 13.
David Rodigan is playing Unit 13 on Saturday 21 November, presented by Our Yard. If you've followed his career, you know he's one of the most respected names in reggae and sound system culture, and this is a proper session rather than a standard DJ set.
He's bringing a full sound system setup with him, so the night is built around that heavy, physical sound rather than just a pair of club speakers. He'll be working through a carefully curated selection of tracks, and the whole thing is billed as 'Big SoundSystem, Big Vibes, Big Selection' — which is a fair way of describing what he does. The focus is on Caribbean musical traditions and heritage, and the aim is to bring music enthusiasts together for an authentic experience rooted in that sound system culture.

It's an over-18s night, so it's strictly for the adults. The session runs from 17:00 to 22:00, which puts it in that late-afternoon to early-evening slot rather than a late-night clubber's one, and tickets are £15. You'll find Unit 13 on Burton Street in Nottingham, NG1 4BT.
