Live show by the modern Irish folk group Onóir at the Albert Hall in Nottingham.
Onóir are playing the Albert Hall on Friday 23 April, their first Nottingham date since the band formed. They're a modern Irish male folk group built on harmony-focused songs and arrangements, and they're promoting the show themselves.
The four members — Tom McHugh, Declan Gaughan, Deane Connaghan and Diarmaid McGee — all come from Donegal. They first joined forces in August 2020 to record a contemporary version of the well-known Irish folk ballad 'The Auld Triangle', and that collaboration grew into the group they are now. Their self-titled debut album, Onóir, came out on 3 March 2024, and since then they've been back in the studio finishing a second record.
They've spent the last year on the road, with their 2026 Brotherhood tour taking them to theatres across Ireland, the UK, Europe and North America. This Nottingham date is a self-promoted show, and seating is first-come, first-served, so if you've got a particular spot in mind, it's worth getting in a bit early.
