NOTTLANTA

NOTTLANTA takes over a Secret Venue in Nottingham on Friday 23 October, from 10pm until 3am. It's a club night run by After5ive Ent, whose sound has been touring the Midlands, hitting Nottingham, Leicester and Birmingham. The name itself is a bit of a giveaway: they bill it as a fusion of Nottingham and Atlanta, with the tagline 'It's time for Notts or Atlanta but bigger & better'.

The music policy is wide, running from dancehall and amapiano to afrobeats, hip-hop, rap, R&B, soca and francophone. It's the kind of night where you'll hear a few different scenes crossing over rather than one single sound, so it works whether you're there for the dancehall or the R&B. On the decks are BRADSHAW, OFFICIAL FOUR, JMK, 2WICE and ALIEN, with PRE PRE SWIFT hosting on the mic.

There are a few things to keep in mind before you head out. It's an over-19s night, and you'll need physical ID to get in. There's also a strict dress code: no tracksuits and no man bags, so leave the sportswear and the shoulder bag at home if you want to avoid being turned away at the door. Tickets run from free up to £33, and the night runs from 10pm until 3am.
