Nottingham Wildcats v Leicester Riders

Nottingham Wildcats take on the Leicester Riders at the Nottingham Wildcats Arena on Saturday 5 December, a basketball fixture the venue describes as an engaging encounter for fans of the sport. It's a local clash, with the Riders coming over from just down the road in Leicester, and it sits within the Super League Basketball League, which is billed as Britain's elite basketball league.

If you're not usually one for the court, it's worth knowing where this fits in. The Super League is the top flight of the British game, so this is the highest level of basketball you'll find on home soil. The Wildcats are playing on their own court, and with the Riders as the opposition, it's a regional derby that brings two of the Midlands' teams together in the same building. The venue describes it as an engaging encounter, and given the rivalry, that's a fair way to put it.

The game is at the Nottingham Wildcats Arena on Greenwood Road in Bakersfield, Nottingham, NG3 7EB. Doors open at 18:00, so you've got plenty of time to get settled before tip-off. Tickets are £8.80 for adults (16+), £5.50 for children (4-15), and there's a family ticket for £17 that covers two adults and two children, all including fees.
