Halloween-themed Warcry tabletop tournament with a 'trick or treat' mechanic, trophies and a goody bag for participants.
Nottingham Warcry Club are back with Autumn Annihilation - Trick or Treat, one of their annual Warcry events, running this Saturday 24 October at Underworld Games. It's a full day of skirmish gaming in the heart of the city centre, on Crocus Street, less than five minutes' walk from the station.
The Halloween theme is built right into the play. The tournament uses bespoke battleplans with a rotating 'trick or treat' mechanic, which blends competitive play with narrative elements — so your games will shift as the day goes on. Every participant walks away with a themed goody bag containing printed basing materials, and there are unique trophies for first, second and third place, best looking warband and favourite opponent.
Behind it is Craig Kavanagh, the club's archon of alliteration, who runs the event as part of the club's regular calendar. The tagline he's gone with sums up the spirit of the day: 'you can't spell slaughter without laughter'.
