Beginner figure-drawing class on drawing figures in motion, with no prior experience or art supplies required.
Nottingham Movement Sketching is running a beginner figure drawing session at WWG8+GM Nottingham on Monday 26 October, from 17:30. It's a one-hour class, so you're in and out in an evening.
The whole thing is built around getting you from a blank page to a finished sketch in that single hour. The focus is on drawing figures in motion, so rather than a still pose, you'll be working with people moving. If you've ever felt stuck staring at a white sheet, that's exactly where the session starts: you arrive with nothing on the page and leave with a completed drawing.
One of the best bits is that you don't need to buy any art supplies. Any pencil and some plain paper will do, and there's no prior experience required. It's aimed at anyone who's ever said 'I can't draw' — the kind of thing you might have put off because you didn't think you had the knack for it. You just turn up, follow along, and see what happens.

When the class ends, the process doesn't quite stop there. You photograph your drawing and send it in, and a reviewer writes back to you with what's working and what to try next. It's a nice way to get a bit of feedback on your work after you've gone home, rather than just leaving it at the door. The session runs at WWG8+GM Nottingham on Monday 26 October, starting at 17:30 and lasting one hour.
