Horror-themed Halloween party with a costume competition, horror film clip projections, zine and art stalls, two bars and a dance floor, strictly 18+.
The Nottingham Horror Collective are back with their Horror Halloween Party on Saturday 31 October, taking over Liquid Light Brewing Company in the city. It's their sixth year running this one, and they describe it as the Halloween party of their horror-obsessed fans' dreams.
The night is built around a costume competition: the best horror look takes home a Horror Collective tote bag stuffed with prints and zines, and the title of Nottingham's reigning Horror Halloween champion. Around the room, there are zine and art stalls to browse, two bars, and a dance floor that doesn't quit. For food, there's Da Vinci's Dough pizza and Liquid Light pints on hand. The whole thing is strictly 18+.
On the music, DJ Dr. FeelScared is playing a dark, danceable set of 80s synths and queer pop, while horror film clips curated by The Nottingham Horror Collective project across the room. It's a night that works as much for the costume and the stalls as it does for the dance floor, so you can spend as much time on the zines as you do on the music.
