Free outdoor session combining mindfulness meditation with gentle movement, open to all abilities.
Mindful Movement is coming to Summerwood Community Garden in Clifton on Wednesday 21 October, starting at 13:00. It's an outdoor session that brings together mindfulness meditation and gentle movement, held right in the garden rather than in a studio, so you'll be moving with the outdoors around you.
The two parts go hand in hand: the mindfulness meditation is about staying present and settling the mind, and the gentle movement is about getting into your body without pushing yourself too hard. It's not a high-intensity class, so it's open to all abilities, whether you've never done anything like this before or you've got a regular practice. The garden setting adds its own layer to it, too — it's a community space in Clifton, so it's a bit of a different vibe from a gym or a hall.
If you're thinking of coming, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. It's an outdoor session, so it'll be weather-dependent, and you'll want to dress for that. Since it's a community garden, it's a relaxed, open-air environment, so bring whatever you'd need to be comfortable outside in October.
