West End musical comedy Mean Girls, written by Tina Fey, comes to the Royal Concert Hall with shows on Tuesday to Friday evenings and Saturday matinees.
Mean Girls is coming to the Royal Concert Hall from Tuesday 3 November to Saturday 7 November, arriving in Nottingham direct from the West End. It's the award-winning musical comedy written by Tina Fey, who also wrote 30 Rock, with music by Jeff Richmond (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) and lyrics by Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde). Casey Nicholaw, who directed and choreographed The Book of Mormon, is at the helm here too.
The story follows Cady Heron, a home-schooled girl whose zoologist parents taught her survival of the fittest. She's thrown into the competitive social hierarchy of North Shore High, where she clashes with Regina, Gretchen and Karen — the Plastics who rule the school. It's a mix of witty dialogue and a score of catchy songs, and it picked up Best New Musical at the WhatsOnStage Awards.
