A tribute concert honouring the music of Luther Vandross in a candlelit setting at Albert Hall, featuring a vocalist and live band.
Luther Vandross - The Candlelight Concert comes to Albert Hall on Saturday 17 October, a tribute to the R&B singer's music performed in a candlelit setting. It's a night built around the songs of one of the most beloved voices in R&B, a singer remembered for his rich tones and emotional depth as much as for his long run of love songs. A vocalist and a full live band rework those hits, with the candlelit atmosphere carrying the ballads.
The set draws from the songs that defined his career. You'll hear 'Never Too Much', 'Dance with My Father', 'Here and Now', 'So Amazing', 'A House Is Not a Home', 'If Only for One Night', 'Stop to Love' and 'The Power of Love / Love Power'. It's a tribute to the 'velvet voice' that gave the music its character, and the live band keeps the sound full rather than stripped back.
