A symphonic concert of iconic Halloween and film soundtracks by The Great British Film Orchestra, featuring music from Tim Burton films and other cinematic classics.
The Great British Film Orchestra are playing The Albert Hall on Friday 16 October, as part of a series called Halloween at the Movies that hands cinema's most memorable and thrilling soundtracks over to a symphonic setting. The evening centres on the music that defined the worlds of Tim Burton, with Danny Elfman as the composer behind many of his most beloved creations: Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice, Batman (1989), Sleepy Hollow, Corpse Bride and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
The Great British Film Orchestra is one of the UK's premier ensembles dedicated to film music, and they'll be blending those mischievous melodies and haunting orchestrations with themes from the wider cinematic universe. Along with the Burton and Elfman work, the set includes Harry Potter, Casper, E.T., The Silence of the Lambs, The Sixth Sense and Psycho.
