Underground club night Groove City with COTU, featuring resident DJs and a live PA at Secret Vault.
Groove City returns to Secret Vault on Friday 6 November, with COTU taking the lead. It's a night that runs from 9pm to 3am, and the line-up is a long one: Mak 10, Spidey Gee, Monsta Boy on a live PA, and MC Viper and Miss Jonesy, alongside the COTU resident DJs Aryan, A-Dee, Bully, Portable and Zkay.
COTU stands for Connoisseurs Of The Underground, and they describe themselves as Nottingham's newest premium underground club night, built for students, young professionals and music lovers looking for something beyond the ordinary. They cite Boiler Room, Ministry of Sound, Defected and Fabric as influences, and the format pairs headline artists with a stable of resident DJs across two rooms in an underground warehouse setting. They bill the night as the city's new home for UK Garage, House and Bass, though it also takes in Amapiano, Afrobeats, Dancehall and club classics, with monthly themed editions and the occasional live PA.
