Ferocious Dog play Rock City for their final ever show, closing their farewell tour in the city where they began.
Ferocious Dog play Rock City on Saturday 28 November, and it's their final ever show. They're a six-piece folk-punk band from Mansfield, fronted by Ken Bonsall, whose lyrics and stage presence drive their high-octane live sets. Jamie Burney plays fiddle while Sam Wood covers most of the strings, supported by Kyle Peters on guitar and the rhythm section of Nick Wragg on bass and Luke Grainger on drums. The night is billed as the close of their farewell tour, returning to the city where they began, and they've made it clear there'll be no encores.
They've got a long history with the venue. Back in November 2015, they sold out Rock City in advance, which was a first for an unsigned act in its 35-year history. Beyond Nottingham, they've played Billy Bragg's Left Field stage at Glastonbury and toured with The Levellers in 2016. Their 2024 album Kleptocracy followed The Hope, which debuted at number one on the Official UK & Ireland Folk Album Charts.

They aren't playing alone, either. Mad Dog Mcrea and Shanks' Pony are both on the bill as special guests, so there's more than one band to catch before the main set. Doors open from around 18:30 at Rock City, 8 Talbot Street, Nottingham, NG1 5GG, and tickets are £32.50.
