Free football session for women, trans and non-binary students at the University of Nottingham's Empower Week.
Empower x Football runs at David Ross Sports Village on Friday 23 October, from 4:00 to 5:00pm. It's one of the sessions that make up Empower Week at the University of Nottingham, a week of sport, exercise and fun run by University of Nottingham Sport.
The session is set up as a chance to try out a new sport, whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, and to meet new people along the way. It's not about where you're starting from, so it works as well for someone who's never touched a football as it does for someone who's played for years. The whole week is open to all women, trans and non-binary identifying students at the university, and every session is free to attend.
There's a bit of a thank-you for taking part, too. If you attend one event, you get a free Empower Tote Bag; if you make it to three, you get a free Empower T-shirt. Both are subject to completing feedback forms, so keep that in mind if you're planning to build up to the shirt. If you're already a student and fancy a go, it's a low-stakes way to get on the pitch and meet a few new faces.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Nottingham and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
