Relaxed life drawing workshop for all skill levels where participants draw dogs provided by the organisers.
Dog Life Drawing is coming to Blend at Sneinton Market on Monday 2 November, from 18:00. It's exactly what it says on the tin: a life drawing session where the models are dogs. The organisers describe it as a 'paws-itively fun' evening where art meets canine charm, and the whole thing is set up to be relaxed and friendly.
One of the best bits is that it's open to all skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned artist who draws for a living or a complete beginner who hasn't picked up a pencil since school, you'll fit in. There's no pressure to produce a masterpiece; the point is just to spend a few hours sketching dogs in a room full of other people doing the same. All the drawing materials are supplied, so you don't need to bring your own kit, and the dog models are provided too. On that note, they've asked that you don't bring your own dog along — it'll be plenty busy enough with the models on hand.
Blend is in Sneinton Market (NG1 1DW), and the venue is wheelchair accessible, which is always good to know before you set off. The cafe stays open throughout, so there's plenty of tea and coffee on hand if you fancy a break between sketches. It's a Monday night, so it's a low-key way to start the week rather than a big night out.
