Club night District, the flagship Saturday session at The Level, with chart and house, DnB and techno, plus R&B, hip hop, grime, afrobeats and dancehall.
District is back at The Level on Saturday 24 October, starting at 22:30 and running through to Sunday morning. It's the flagship Saturday night for the Students' Union on Shakespeare Street, and it's built around three floors of music rather than one. One floor handles the chart and house, another takes on DnB and techno, and the top floor is for R&B, hip hop, grime, afrobeats and dancehall. Laser light shows run across the rooms, and there are student-union drinks deals on the go.
That's the core of it, but it helps to know what else happens at The Level. It's the Students' Union venue on the City Campus, and it does a fair bit more than just club nights. It hosts album-release shows presented by Rough Trade, tribute acts and comedy, so it's a bit of a mixed bag throughout the week. District is the big Saturday session that pulls in thousands of students, and it's the one that spreads across all three floors.

If you're going, it's £7 for the night, which you can book on its own or as part of a Freshers Pass. It kicks off at 22:30 on Saturday 24 October and runs into Sunday morning, so you've got plenty of time to work your way through the different rooms.
