Full weekend board game convention with RPGs, social deduction games, LARP and a fire pit, with venue game library and on-site accommodation.
The Dice & Balls Board Game Maxi-Mini-Con returns to Sherbrooke Scout Campsite on Saturday 24 October, running through to Sunday 25 October. It's a full weekend of gaming in the Nottingham outskirts, and the organisers have secured the same site they used last year.
What they're calling a 'Maxi-Mini-Con' is a broad mix of tabletop gaming. The main draw is board games, but the weekend also covers RPGs, social deduction games, LARP and Blood on the Clocktower. If you're into any of those, you'll find plenty to get stuck into across the two days. You can pick from the venue's own game library or bring along your own favourites from home, so you don't need to come prepared with a stack of boxes if you'd rather not.
And it's not just about the table. The weekend rounds off with dancing and songs around a fire pit, which is a nice change of pace after a day of gaming. If you're planning to stay over, accommodation is available on a first-come-first-served basis for anyone booking a full weekend ticket, so it's worth sorting that early if you want a spot on site.
