Comedy night with a 90-minute shuffleboard session, a Neapolitan-style pizza and two drink vouchers at BOX Nottingham.
Box for Two is hosting a comedy night on Monday 26 October, and it's more than just a stand-up set. The evening is built around shuffleboard, pizza and drinks, so you're playing as much as you're watching. The shuffleboard session itself runs for 90 minutes and works in two teams: you score by guiding pucks from one end of the table to the other, and the team whose puck lands furthest still on the table takes the point. It's a bit like curling and bowling rolled into one, so it's easy to pick up even if you've never played.
Beyond the game, each player gets a Neapolitan-style pizza and two drink vouchers. The venue's full food menu covers pizzas, burgers, kebabs and salads, with gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options on there too, so you're not limited to the pizza if you fancy something else. It's a sports bar and kitchen in the heart of the city, and they call it a 'gamechanging sports bar' where you can watch, play, party, eat and drink all in one go.
If you're not there for the comedy, the place is still worth a look. There are 35 HD screens showing Sky, TNT and Box Office sports with commentary, and shuffleboard sits alongside electric darts. Live music runs Thursday to Saturday, and every Thursday is 'Bandeoke' night, with a live band backing you while you sing. It's the kind of spot that works as a sports bar during the day and a party venue by night.

One practical thing to keep in mind: there's no wheelchair access to the shuffleboards, and under-18s have to leave by 9pm. The whole package costs £104.50.
