Cooking class at Pippley Cookery School in the walled garden of Beeston, for beginners to home cooks, to make classic British savouries.
Pippley Cookery School is running a Classic British Savouries cooking class on Wednesday 27 January 2027, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. It's a full day's session, seven hours in total, held at Pippley Walled Garden on Wollaton Road in Beeston, Nottingham (NG9 3DA).
The school is home to the Nottingham Cookery School, which sits inside the Victorian walled garden of Pippley. Their whole approach is built around seasonality, sustainability and local, ethical produce. Between the cooking, you'll wander among heritage fruit trees, flower beds and herb borders to gather ingredients at their freshest, while the chefs talk through their passion for environmentally conscious cooking and reducing food waste. It's a good way to see where the food actually comes from before you start working with it.
The lessons take place in a heated marquee, with individual workstations backed by the Pippley professional kitchen. The day is pitched at everyone from complete beginners to keen home cooks, so you don't need to be a pro to get stuck in. You'll leave with the confidence to make the dishes at home, plus a recipe sheet and a Pippley tote bag to take with you.
