Elvis tribute show by Ben Portsmouth, the Worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist, with his band Taking Care of Elvis.
Ben Portsmouth brings his Elvis tribute show, This is Elvis, to the Royal Concert Hall on Saturday 24 April 2027. He'll be performing with the Taking Care of Elvis Band, and the set is split into two halves: the first runs from 8:00pm to 8:45pm, followed by a 25-minute interval, with the second half going from 9:10pm to 10:10pm. Doors open at 7:00pm.
This is Elvis traces Presley's career from the early rockabilly years through to the Vegas era, so it covers a fair stretch of ground rather than sticking to one particular period. Reviewers have described it as feeling like a live concert with the King himself, and Portsmouth is billed as the closest living performer to Elvis Presley rather than just a tribute artist.
That's not just a line from the brochure, either. In 2012 he became the first European to be crowned 'Worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist' by Elvis Presley Enterprises in Memphis. Since then he's headlined an Elvis week on the Late Show with David Letterman, performed in more than 20 countries, played on the same Las Vegas stage as Presley, and starred in London's West End.
