Late-night night of house, R&B and Balkan and Slavic hits from the project Balkania at the underground venue Secret Vaults.
Balkania is taking over Secret Vaults on Friday 23 October, bringing a night of House, R&B and Balkan and Slavic hits to one of Nottingham's underground spots. It's a late one, starting at 23:00 and running through into Saturday morning, so it's more of a proper night out than a quick drink and a dance.
The music is the main draw here. You'll get the House and R&B you'd expect from a late-night club set, but the real character comes from the Balkan and Slavic hits mixed in. Those are the big Eastern European anthems that give the night its name, and they're what set this apart from your usual Friday night. It's a broad mix, so you'll hear the familiar club sounds alongside tracks from across the Balkans and Eastern Europe.
Balkania describes itself as a project that brings the spirit of the Balkans to life through culture, music, events, nightlife and unforgettable experiences. This night is one of those events, with the music taking centre stage. The venue is Secret Vaults at 3 Talbot St, NG1 5GQ, and the plan is a packed dancefloor and a late-night atmosphere that carries on well past midnight.
