Group bike ride by Women in Tandem from Nottingham Railway Station to Cotgrave Country Park, covering around 19 miles.
Women in Tandem are leading a group bike ride from Nottingham Railway Station to Cotgrave Country Park on Sunday 15 November, a slightly longer version of the Cotgrave routes they've run before. It's part of their regular 'Group Rides' collection, and the whole thing is funded by The National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund.
The ride covers around 19 miles, and the route is built from cycle lanes, canal towpaths and easy off-road sections, so you're not spending the morning dodging traffic on the main roads. There's a half-way stop for a hot drink from the Ginger & Blue Coffee Van, and the whole trip takes about three hours from start to finish. If you've done their previous Cotgrave rides, this one stretches the distance a bit further.
Women in Tandem are a Nottingham-based Community Interest Company that describes its aim as supporting and empowering women to ride bikes, and this ride sits right in the middle of that. It's a group outing, so you're riding with others rather than heading out on your own.
