A free drop-in community event at The Forum to increase understanding of psychosis, reduce stigma and promote early support.
Psychosis awareness is coming to The Forum on Monday 2 November, a drop-in community event running from 12 noon until 4pm. It's a learning day rather than a formal talk, so you can pop in whenever suits you across those four hours and stay as long or as short as you like.
The whole thing is built around psychosis, a condition that doesn't get nearly enough space in the public conversation. The aim is to increase understanding of what it actually is, to push back against the stigma that tends to cling to it, and to promote early support for anyone who might be struggling. It's a community-focused day, so it's as much about having a chat and getting your head around the basics as it is about the information itself.
Because it's a drop-in, there's no set programme to follow. You don't have to commit to the whole afternoon; you can just drift in for twenty minutes if that's all you've got, or hang around and pick your way through the different things on offer. It's designed to be accessible, so it's a good spot to ask questions you might not have known how to phrase elsewhere.
