Talk by author and poet David Larbi about his book 'Frequently Happy', hosted by poet Lewis Buxton, followed by book sales and a signing.
David Larbi is coming to The Forum on Saturday 24 October, from 3pm to 4pm, for a session built around his Sunday Times bestselling book, Frequently Happy. It's a conversation with the poet Lewis Buxton, with a selection of poetry readings and reflections on the happy moments in life.
Larbi is a London author, creator and poet who's often described as a TikTok poetry sensation and a perennial optimist. He's built an online community of more than a million people by experimenting with different platforms and forms of expression, and Frequently Happy is his take on how to nurture positive mindfulness and find happiness in every season of life. The whole afternoon is built around the book's title poem: 'I always pay attention / When a small joy grabs me / Some say easily pleased / I say, frequently happy!'
Hosting the session is the poet Lewis Buxton, whose work has appeared in Poetry Review, The Rialto and The Independent, and who won the Winchester Poetry Prize. His own books include Boy in Various Poses (2021) and Mate Arias (2025). The talk is followed by book sales and a signing with Larbi, so you can get your copy signed on the day.
